Statement of Faith

We believe in the Triune God.  God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are three persons, but one God.   (Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19)

We believe that God created the universe.    (Genesis 1:1)

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.  He is both true man and true God.
(John 1:1, 14, Philippians 2:5-11)

We believe that Jesus died on a cross to save people from their sin, rose from the dead, and that whoever believes in Jesus will have everlasting life. Salvation is a free gift that we receive through faith in Jesus Christ. He is the sole means for salvation. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast.   (John 3:16, Romans 3:22-24, Ephesians 2:8-9)

We believe that the Holy Spirit is God working to lead people to faith in Jesus Christ and to enable believers to live as children of God.    (1 Corinthians 12:3, Galatians 5:22-25)

We believe that Baptism and the Lord's Supper are means by which God personally and physically shares his presence and forgiveness of sin.    (Acts 2:38-39, Matthew 26:26-28)

We believe that the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the sole guide for our beliefs and Christian living.   (2 Timothy 3:14-17)

We believe that every Christian is called to go out and invite others to know Jesus Christ personally.  (Matthew 28:18-20, John 3:16-17)

We believe that every Christian is called to faithful stewardship of all of God's blessings.           (1 Corinthians 4:2)
