WHERE DO I GO?
We're at 6080 Haven Avenue, on the corner of Haven & Banyan, about a mile north of the 210 Freeway. We have two parking lots; one that wraps around our buildings and another attached to our park on the south side of Banyan across the street from the church.
WHEN ARE YOUR SERVICES AND WHAT ARE THEY LIKE?
On Sundays we have 4 services at 7:45, 9:00, 10:30, and 11:45
HOW LONG ARE YOUR SERVICES?
About an hour, give or take a few minutes.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Come as you are! You'll see a wide range of styles on Sunday morning - from dressy, to business casual, to jeans, to shorts. Just be yourself.
DO YOU TAKE AN OFFERING?
We do. We believe that the offering is a chance for people to give back to God what He has blessed them with. It is an act of worship for members and friends of Shepherd of the Hills who are moved to support this ministry. Do not feel obligated to participate. We want you to feel welcomed and comfortable!
DO I HAVE TO SING?
We believe one of the best ways to express our love, gratitude and commitment to God is through music. At the same time, we understand that many who worship with us come from different traditions. It’s up to you: feel free to sing along or simply observe.
WHAT ELSE HAPPENS DURING A SERVICE?
Each of our services follows a format that typically takes us through a variety of spoken parts including a confession of sins, a reading of Scripture, a profession of faith and prayers. Our pastors deliver relevant biblically-based messages. On any given Sunday all the (english) services hear the same message.
IS THERE SOMETHING FOR MY KIDS?
Yes! While kids are always welcome to worship with their parents, we have an active Sunday School program for kids at 9:00 and a service designed specifically for kids at 10:30 called Kids Church. There is also a staffed nursery at 9:00 and 10:30.
WHAT IF I CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHERE TO GO?
Not to worry, we have a staffed Welcome Booth and people who would love to help you find your way. Feel free to ask anyone and they will be able to direct you to where you need to go.
